The winner of our raffle shares her journey in Madagascar

Stéphanie, winner of the trip to Madagascar during EDI’s 10th anniversary raffle, enjoyed her journey in May 2026.
Wishing to discover our projects on site, she shared her daily experiences with her loved ones, and EDI is fortunate to be part of this wonderful adventure.
With Stéphanie’s consent, we are sharing with you moments related to the projects she is visiting. Our first stop begins as Stéphanie leaves the capital, Antananarivo, to travel to the Brickaville region.

1. On the way to the East Coast of the island

“This morning, transfer by jeep to the east of the island via RN2. An 8-hour drive in fairly good condition (much better than the previous day). The landscapes are already different—fewer rice fields (the land is used after harvest to make bricks for construction), more forests (banana trees, traveller’s tree = fan palm). We pass through Brickaville, where we will visit until Friday the projects implemented by EDI in this region: schools, canteens, solar kiosks, educational gardens, etc.”
