The project ‘Sekoly pour tous, c’est cool!’ aims to raise awareness among Luxembourgish children about the realities faced by their Malagasy counterparts, focusing on education, culture, ecology, as well as social and economic life. The term “Sekoly” means “school” in Malagasy.
Overall objective: To make children aware of the overall situation of their counterparts in Madagascar, in particular education, culture, ecology, social and economic life.
Specific objective: To enable young participants to understand the inequalities in access to quality education between Luxembourg and Madagascar, while raising awareness of the living conditions of Malagasy children.
Educational and recreational workshops: Organization of workshops in Luxembourgish primary schools to inform students about Malagasy realities through interactive activities.
Intercultural exchanges: Bringing together Luxembourgish and Malagasy classes to promote cultural and educational exchanges, particularly through correspondence between students.
Exhibition at the Parc Merveilleux in Bettembourg: During the month of July 2021, an exhibition dedicated to Madagascar was presented, including a traditional canoe built by students from Atert-Lycée Redange, symbolizing Malagasy culture.
